He had traveled for almost a week on end without rest looking for a way off of the accursed island. Through his travels, to his dismay, he found little form of life; human, elf, or any other. When he arrived here in the midst of battle, he had expected far more populace than what he had now known to inhabit Northrend. Abandoned docks and ghost towns were all that practically remained of the humans of Northrend, taken aback by illness or from vicious attacks by the Scourge.
Yet, he knew of a small town that should yet remain here, a port town called Depsul. This was one of three small towns on the coast of the ocean that regularly made its way into the shores of Lordaeron.
He had watched this town slightly during his time in the twisting nether. It seemed to him now that this may be his only venue for gaining a quest, a mission to prove that his existence had indeed a meaning.
He had wandered through mist filled canyons, the harsh breeze that would chill the living slightly warmed him. Everywhere he looked he saw nothing but desolation and destruction. A vast isle of empty nothing. Not even the trees were able to muster up much will to live in this forsaken place. This was not lost on Daesalliss. He felt the emptiness begin to eat away at him; the defenses that he had prepared throughout the long, tortuous years of the Nether were beginning to wax very thin. He found his body shake when he was not cold, the dead loneliness trouncing him at every turn of the psyche.
A great blizzard came during daylight of his most recent day there in Northrend. The snow came so heavily that even a death knight had to seek some form of shelter. He backtracked nearly a half-hour to the last port town that he had left, truly believing it to be Depsul, but alas, it appeared as barren as the rest.
He found a small shed near the closest dock to town and let himself rest.
