Without warning or hesitation, Daesalliss followed the debris, lavender cape flowing in the night; his head cocked back finding his voice. As he found it, a scream not heard in thousands of years, a sound only enabled by the undead erupted forth from him, startling all on the battlefield. Human footmen turned to see a creature hovering many feet off the ground, circled by black lightning, the scream escalating beyond measure. The ground shook viciously as the lightning streaked down. The ghouls took the opportunity this time, killing most of the human soldiers in fast, fatal strikes. The lightning began to calm, as did his scream. It slowly began to lower him to the ground. Amidst all the confusion, Daesalliss was startled by landing on something even colder than he was. He looked down to see what looked as if a black fire, shadows churning in the form of an animal. "Nightmare..." he whispered to himself. In slight fear, he jumped off of the black steed, and began striding towards the ghouls, who were now eating the corpses of the humans. One of them stopped his feast at the sound of mud sloshing under heavy feet. His eyes welled up in fear as his head looked up at the mammoth figure before him, dauntingly tall, eyes boiling like black cauldrons.
Once again, his veins bulged and produced through the black tendrils a long sword, with a blinking eye staring back at him. He looked into the eye momentarily, and saw something within it that he did not entirely understand. He shook it off as he raised the blade above his head, his shadow engulfing the now shuddering ghoul.
As the sword was about to fall, Daesalliss dropped it to the ground, clutching his head. With his elbows thrashing wildly in the air, he spun in half circles, letting out a lesser scream than the one before. He was struggling for control, for free will over the body. The orb that took the place of the wound in the center of his chest began to throb with dark energies, sending the black bolts across his body, forcing him to kneel. He pushed his hands deep into the earth as a black aura enveloped him.
